Andy Benson, Bumblebee Conservation Trust

Stirling, Scotland (UK)

Andy Benson is the Education Manager at the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, the only UK charity dedicated solely to the conservation of bumblebees. Founded in 2006 by Professor Dave Goulson in response to alarming declines in bumblebee populations, the Trust is a science-led organisation working across the UK to protect these vital pollinators. Andy is passionate about sharing the wonders of nature and helping people connect with the beauty and importance of bumblebees. Through education and skills development, he equips individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to care for these incredible insects and support their conservation. The Trust’s mission is to lead the fight to secure a future for bumblebees by conducting research, influencing environmental policy, creating bee-friendly habitats, and inspiring collective action. Their vision is a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone.
